Van Goghs verblijf in Arles

Het schilderij “La Crau met perzikbomen” is gemaakt door Van Gogh tijdens zijn verblijf in Arles. Velen zeggen dat dit waarschijnlijk de meest creatieve periode van zijn carrière was. Enkele van zijn beste werken, zoals Oogst bij La Crau en het stilleven Vaas met vijftien zonnebloemen, maakte hij tijdens zijn verblijf in Arles.

Over het schilderij

Van Gogh schilderde graag de vlakten buiten Arles. Dit schilderij was zijn laatste uitzicht op de vlakten. Toen hij aan Paul Signac, de schilder, schreef over dit schilderij, vertelde hij hem waarom hij zich zo aangetrokken voelde tot het onderwerp.
Hij zei dat het kwam omdat alles hier klein was, inclusief de bergen. De bloeiende perzikbomen tegen de besneeuwde toppen van de bergen geven dit schilderij een vredige, bijna verstilde uitstraling.

I ordered this painting of ‘La Crau with Peach Trees in Blossom’ for my kitchen space and it looks absolutely fantastic. With various shades of colors, the artwork looks so vibrant to the eyes. The artist has done an excellent job and deserves appreciation for this flawless masterpiece. The frame that I picked complements the painting well. Overall a great shopping experience. 5 STARS!
